Rich Powell serves as the Head Coach of Darrow Soccer, bringing extensive experience in player development, coaching, and recruitment. Originally from the United Kingdom, Coach Powell has dedicated his career to cultivating talent and preparing student-athletes for success at all levels of the game.

Since moving to the U.S. in 2006, he has held key leadership roles, including Academy Director at Soccer Domain Academy and Director of Coaching at the Pittsfield Soccer Club. In 2017, he became the Head Boys’ Soccer Coach at Salisbury School in Salisbury, CT, where he played a pivotal role in developing student-athletes and guiding them to compete at all three levels of college soccer.

In 2024, under his leadership, Darrow secured a league championship with an impressive 12-4 regular-season record and earned its first NEPSAC tournament berth in 30 years—an achievement that reflects Coach Powell’s strategic approach and commitment to excellence.

Beyond his role at Darrow, Coach Powell is a co-founder of United Soccer Group (USG), an organization focused on helping athletes transition to the next level of their soccer careers. His deep network of connections and expertise in recruitment provide Darrow Soccer players with invaluable opportunities to pursue collegiate athletics.
