Founded in 1932, Darrow School is an independent, coeducational boarding and day school located in New Lebanon, New York.
Situated on a historic Shaker campus in the Berkshires, Darrow serves students from across the United States and around the world through an educational philosophy grounded in experiential learning, close faculty mentorship, intellectual curiosity, and personal responsibility.
The School's Hands-to-Work philosophy encourages students to learn through active engagement, creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem solving. Nearly eighty percent of students participate in interscholastic athletics while also engaging in the arts, leadership opportunities, outdoor education, and community life.
The acquisition of the Lakeside Campus represents the next chapter in Darrow's history, expanding opportunities for residential life, student wellness, athletics, environmental learning, and community while remaining true to the values that have defined the School for nearly a century.
