College Credit Program
Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA)
Darrow School is a partner of Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA), a leading dual enrollment program offering college-level courses. This exciting program allows post-graduates to take college courses and earn college credits, giving them a head start in their academic journey.
Providing our students with more challenging courseworkÂ
Our students can delve into college-level subjects during their regular high school days and earn college course credit. This not only enriches their academic experience but also provides a head start in their college journey, making the transition from high school to college smoother and more manageable.
Each SUPA course offered at Darrow is taught by a faculty member qualified as an "Adjunct Instructor" at Syracuse University. The faculty members receive training and guidance from a Syracuse University professor who regularly visits Darrow classrooms during the academic year. This fosters a sense of connection and belonging for our students within a larger educational community.
Cost
Darrow School does not charge students to take SUPA classes. However, Syracuse University charges a fee for Darrow SUPA classes for students to receive credit on a Syracuse transcript. Syracuse University charges $115 per credit hour for every SUPA course, which range from 3 to 4 credits.
Students taking these courses at Darrow receive a 90% discount from what Syracuse would charge an undergraduate for the same class on its campus. Furthermore, Syracuse offers financial aid to select students. Please contact our Admissions Office for more information.
