MBA, Babson College Phillip L. Darrin joined Darrow School as Director of Institutional Advancement in 2024, bringing extensive experience in independent school leadership and strategic planning. With a deep passion for mission-driven education, Phil is dedicated to strengthening alumni and parent engagement, expanding philanthropic support, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of Darrow. Throughout his career, Phil has held leadership roles in administration and academic programming, including serving as Head of School at SPIRE Academy and Chief Programs Officer at South Kent School. His expertise in strategy and institutional growth has helped schools navigate financial challenges while enhancing student experiences. A strong believer in community-driven education, Phil values the connections that make independent schools unique. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children in Connecticut, where they are part of the Canterbury School community. He is also an advocate for experiential learning and innovative programming that aligns with Darrow’s rich history and Shaker values.
