Bachelor of Arts in English and French Language and Literature, Magna Cum Laude, Connecticut College Sara Van Deusen serves as the Database Manager and Advancement Associate, Library Manager, and Foreign Language Independent Study Advisor at Darrow, having joined the school on August 30, 2024. With over eleven years of experience as an assistant librarian, Sara’s journey in education began with volunteer work at her local library in middle school, sparking a lifelong passion for supporting learning and literacy. While completing her degree remotely during the COVID-19 outbreak, Sara pursued opportunities in education, working as an assistant teacher for grades K–3 and serving as a long-term PE substitute in public schools across northwest Connecticut. Her broad range of experiences has prepared her to excel in her multifaceted role at Darrow, where her personal and professional values align closely with those of the school. Sara is excited to bring her dedication and expertise to the Darrow community. |
