Betsy Feathers serves as the Director of Learning Skills at Darrow, a role she began in 2023. Betsy’s extensive and diverse career in education reflects her deep passion for supporting students and fostering meaningful learning experiences. She began her professional journey as a grant writer, specializing in programs designed to support small, independent schools and other educational organizations. Her dedication to these schools extended to nearly 20 years of service on the Board of Directors for one such institution.

In addition to her administrative expertise, Betsy has served as a Psychological Services Coordinator, collaborating with public school departments of special education to advocate for students with a wide range of needs. This role further solidified her commitment to helping all learners thrive. Betsy has also taught middle school and homeschooled her two children, as well as supported other homeschooling families, demonstrating her adaptability and personal investment in education.

Betsy’s professional path has also included a unique hiatus during which she studied soil composition and worked on regenerative farming techniques. In addition to her work as Director of Learning Skills, Betsy serves as a house parent in Brethren’s, where she embraces the immersive nature of life at Darrow. Her dedication, experience, and love of education continue to inspire and empower the students she serves.
