Kris Magargal serves as the Director of Athletics and Associate Director of Admissions at Darrow, a role they have held for the past four years. Ever since graduating from high school, Kris has been steadily building a career in the sports industry, driven by a deep passion for athletics and education. During their college years in Boston, Kris successfully completed internships at the professional and collegiate levels, which helped establish valuable connections and paved the way for their future in education and athletic administration.

Kris began their professional journey working for a non-profit organization within the Boston Public Schools, where they were responsible for overseeing the academic success of 165 student-athletes. In this role, Kris gained invaluable experience in event management, equipment operations, marketing, and other key aspects of the sports industry. These skills have remained instrumental in their success to this day.

In 2020, as the city of Boston shut down, Kris made the difficult decision to return to Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and seek a new opportunity. Fortunately, they found Darrow and immediately made a positive impact. Kris has brought fresh ideas and innovations to existing programs while elevating the school’s athletic offerings. They are excited about the future and are dedicated to establishing Darrow’s athletic program as one of the best in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).

Kris’s expertise, vision, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire the Darrow community and drive the success of its student-athletes both on and off the field.
