Bachelor of Arts, Williams College Andrew Vadnais serves as the Head of School at Darrow, a position he has held with distinction since 2019. With a career spanning decades, Andrew has devoted his life to education, leadership, and fostering meaningful learning experiences for students. Andrew and his wife, Nancy, first arrived at Darrow fresh from Williams College, where he began teaching U.S. History, Shaker History, and Sociology while also coaching soccer and basketball. His time at Darrow marked the start of a career rooted in education and mentorship. Later, Andrew became a Hagley Fellow at the University of Delaware, which launched his journey into the museum and curatorial worlds, further expanding his expertise in education and historical scholarship. After returning to teaching as an Adjunct Professor of History at the community college level, Andrew and Nancy moved to South Kent School in Connecticut, where he served as Head of School for many years. This experience further honed his skills in school leadership, community building, and educational innovation. In 2019, Andrew returned to Darrow as Head of School, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the school's unique mission and values. Under his leadership, Darrow has continued to thrive as a community that values curiosity, integrity, and personal growth. Andrew’s dedication to education and his commitment to fostering a supportive and inspiring environment have made a lasting impact on the Darrow community. |
