After coming to Darrow in her junior year, Alexandra graduated in 1994 and went on to study at Centre College in Kentucky and SUNY Purchase in New York, focusing on English and Chinese history and language. Alex worked in fashion retail and public relations for over 10 years, representing European luxury brands. In 2007, she opened a groundbreaking hybrid retail concept, combining a cooperative boutique for emerging designers with a full cocktail bar on NYC's Lower East Side. It was the first of its kind and was open for 10 years. Alex is an active member of the Fashion Group International, a professional organization for members of the fashion and design related industries. She also volunteers on the committee for the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. |
