Matthew Bianco-Splann graduated from Darrow in 2009. Afterward, he received a BA in Design Studies from Arizona State University and went on to graduate salutatorian from the University of Southern California with a Master of Architecture. A licensed architect in New York State, Matthew has spent the majority of his career working on large-scale architectural projects all over the world. While at Rockwell Group, he worked on residential and hospitality projects from Seattle to Barcelona and designed multiple projects within the Hudson Yards Development in New York. Most recently at SHoP Architects, he has worked on master planning projects in Queens, New York & Houston, Texas, as well as residential projects like the Brooklyn Tower. Outside of his work, Matthew is always trying to stay active and find new creative outlets. He is an avid runner, cyclist, and hiker and is happy to spend time outside. Additionally, he founded Osprey Studio in 2024 to find creative ways to produce sustainable, bespoke pieces. He is currently experimenting with up-cycled stone, natural mineral pigments, and concrete to create terrazzo home goods. |
