Girls Basketball

In addition to learning the movement, hard work, and flow of the game itself, Darrow girls learn that there is strength in the team spirit they create. Known through the years as a competitive team, the girls have a tight community. Regardless of a previous experience, girls are welcome to the team and form bonds based on shared work, and shared rewards.

    Girls Basketball vs. Woodstock (home)

Darrow Women's Basketball closed out its season on a down note, dropping a 51-38 decision to visiting Woodstock in D's House. Strong effort was not enough to slow down the top player on the visiting team. Seniors Jayme (2 assists, 2 steals) and Royanne (2 points) took the court for the final time in Darrow Black and Maroon - both players will be missed greatly next season. Junior forward Crystal led Darrow with 20 points, including a 3-pointer, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 8 steals. Junior forward Tyler added 10 points and 10 rebounds for a season-ending double double. First year forward Sakina played strong minutes in a reserve role, tallying 4 points and snagging 8 rebounds. Junior forward Naomi was on the front end of a perfect pass (assist) to score combo and later was on the back end of a similar play. First year center Emelia and sophomore guard Rianna provided fire and spark in the game's closing minutes. Darrow finishes the season 11-6.
