Empowering You to
Take Ownership of your Learning
Preparing students to become global citizens starts with helping them to understand their voices and intellectual gifts. We offer a rigorous college-preparatory education that takes a multidisciplinary approach—encouraging students to explore the creative spaces where ideas intersect and new solutions emerge and then to apply those ideas in practical settings.
Our curriculum embodies an innovative approach to learning that empowers students to engage in research, analysis, and creative design by exploring real-world problems and developing innovative, practical, and relevant solutions to those problems.
"Darrow School shaped my daughter into the confident and empowered woman she is today. After four transformative years, she is now at Vassar College. With Darrow's support, my once tentative, shy, math-phobic, anxious kid has become the fabulously confident college rock star!"—Anonymous P'23
You'll be empowered to design a program of study to meet your needs and strengthen your interests. At Darrow, we offer over 150 courses and opportunities to dive deep into a specialized topic or field through personalized programs, such as performing arts, visual arts, hands-to-work, and independent study, to gain hands-on experience.
Whether you're interested in using scientific means to analyze "physical crime evidence" or exploring how race is represented in art, Darrow has a course for you!
ACADEMIC RESOURCES
As a small community, we work with students beyond the academic classroom to foster a holistic approach to personal enrichment. We offer a variety of programs, support services, and resources dedicated to ensuring that the Darrow experience is rewarding while meeting our students’ individual needs.
